What: Spend a day at the farm as we celebrate the mighty pumpkin. Bring the whole family and join in all the festivities. The kids will love the Funny Farm bounce house plus Pumpkin Festival games. Sack races, pumpkin spoon races and a pumpkin-rolling contest. Enjoy live music, face painting, decorate your pumpkin, tractor train rides, horse-drawn hay rides.

What: The biggest outdoor festival and artisan fair in New Hampshire’s seacoast during the beautiful fall season. There are multiple stages filled with live entertainment and music, a 5k road race for all ages, more than 400 artisans selling their goods, and more.

Where: Downtown Milford and Milford Oval areas in Milford, NH
What: The Annual Milford Pumpkin Festival features a craft fair, beer tasting, talent show, a haunted trail, music, plenty of delicious food, the giant pumpkin weigh-in and more. The event takes place at the Milford Oval and free parking is available at the Milford High School with free shuttle rides to the festival.

Where: Strawbery Banke Museum in Portsmouth, NH
What: It’s time to celebrate harvest time with Strawbery Banke’s annual New Hampshire Fall Festival. Strawbery Banke invites you to experience a traditional New England country fair complete with demonstrations from craftspeople, heritage breed and farm animal exhibits, farm animal and livestock demonstrations, presentations on heirloom seeds and food preservation tips, fiber arts, exhibits on historic crafts and industries, coopering, candle-making workshop in the Horticultural Center, and garden tours. This year, the event also incorporates the annual Children’s Book Festival.
Price: Event admission is the same as regular daily admission ($19.50) and children under 5, members and active duty military/families admitted free.

What: The Annual Somersworth Pumpkin Festival is a seacoast area favorite. It’s an all-day family-oriented event focusing on all things pumpkin (pumpkin pie, pumpkin carving, pumpkin painting, pumpkin tossing, pumpkin-themed games and more!).
Price: Wristbands (required) are $12 for kids; adults get in free.

What: The Warner Fall Foliage Festival is Warner’s invitation to share the natural splendor of fall while enjoying food, entertainment, carnival rides and fine crafts along the main streets of Warner. The festival also includes a children’s fun run and dance party, parades, 5k road race, concerts and barbecue.
Price: Admission is free and parking is $5.

Where: Attitash Mountain Resort in Bartlett, NH
What: Head to Attitash for the Annual Oktoberfest which happens each Columbus Day Weekend. Festivities include live Bavarian music from the world renowned King Ludwig’s Band, dancing, kids’ activities and games, authentic German food and, of course, the Oktoberfest Biergarten featuring brewers from around the region.

Where: Waterville Valley, NH.
What: It’s hard to find a place more gorgeous during the fall than Waterville Valley. This Columbus Day Weekend event is packed with family activities, free outdoor concerts, tent sales, ski swap, 5K road race and 1.6K fun run, kids games and more.

Where: Conway Scenic Railroad on Norcross Circle in North Conway, NH
What: All departures are from the North Conway Station for a leisurely roundtrip train ride aboard vintage coaches to the White Mountain Cider Company in Glen, where each child can visit the “Pumpkin Patch” and select their own pumpkin. Costumes are encouraged. Reservations also strongly encouraged.
